This Privacy Policy describes how Waidbook ("we", "us", or "the app") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you use our mobile and web applications and related services (collectively, the "Service"). We take your privacy seriously and only collect data that is strictly necessary to operate the Service.
Waidbook is a digital hunting logbook that helps hunters record trophies, track equipment in a virtual gunsafe, store hunting documents and view hunting seasons. We are based in the Netherlands and operate under European Union privacy law (GDPR).

We only collect the information we need to provide the features you use. The table below summarises what we collect, why, and how long we keep it:

We do NOT collect: payment information, social-network logins, advertising identifiers, contacts, calendar, motion data, health data, or biometric data.
Location data is only collected when you explicitly add a location to a trophy or upload a photo containing GPS EXIF metadata. We never track your location in the background. The location is used to:
By default your trophy locations are visible only to you. Waidbook does not contain any feed, social sharing, or public-profile features at this time.
We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

You can permanently delete your account at any time, directly inside the app, via Settings → Account → Delete my account. This will irreversibly delete:
Deletion takes effect immediately. Backup copies are purged within 30 days.
Waidbook is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
All primary data storage is located in the European Union. Some service providers (e.g. Resend) may process data outside the EU under standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated through in-app notifications or email.
